EcoVapor’s mission to convert a waste product into clean energy is literally on display at several swine farms in southwest Kansas and the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. Roeslein Alternative Energy (RAE) is a leading operator and developer of renewable energy production facilities that convert industrial and agricultural waste into renewable natural gas and sustainable co-products. EcoVapor was chosen to provide its oxygen removal technology in RAE’s biogas upgrading process. Roeslein has won several awards and has been recognized for achieving the lowest carbon intensity score under California’s renewable energy program.
Roeslein began working with EcoVapor’s ZerO2 product in late 2022 to remove oxygen in the biogas upgrading operation, helping to produce natural gas for sale and use in industries and homes. Currently, the companies have installed the equipment at seven swine farm facilities with additional sites scheduled in 2024. This equipment has the capacity to treat 2.4 million standard cubic feet of biogas each day.

EcoVapor is also active with other RNG sites. As of year-end 2023, over 30 skids of equipment have been installed at 28 RNG sites across the nation with multiple operators. These units have the capacity to treat over 9 million standard cubic feet of biogas daily, removing 480,000 metric tonnes of CO2e emissions annually. To put this in perspective, avoiding this volume of CO2e emitted into the atmosphere annually is roughly equivalent to the installation of over 126 wind turbines. These figures exclude the reduced need to produce geologic natural gas from shale wells that would increase this figure.
EcoVapor is pleased to have the opportunity to join with Roeslein Alternative Energy in converting waste into sustainable energy while reducing carbon emissions.
About EcoVapor
EcoVapor, a DNOW company, offers a suite of technology-based solutions for improving the sustainability of gas-powered energy systems by converting waste streams into revenue, which reduces emissions. Our flagship ZerO2™ removes oxygen from biogas (“deoxo”), landfill gas and tank vapors, allowing gas to meet pipeline specification and be sold instead of otherwise being flared. We serve the Oil and Gas and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) markets.
