In response to a request from a number of oil and gas producers, Ecovapor has developed a service to independently evaluate an operator’s tank vapor management system. The service involves a detailed inspection of the site and a written assessment, which documents EcoVapor’s recommendations and summarizes the site findings. The first assessment is free to any operator in the Permian, Eagle Ford, Mid-Continent, and Rockies regions.
Ecovapor’s extensive experience in vapor system design and operation can be instrumental in addressing issues such as tank venting, unnecessary flaring, equipment sizing, and compliance concerns. As an example, there are a number of often overlooked factors that contribute to tank venting, including:
-
- equipment sizing
- instantaneous production rates
- plunger lifts
- scrubber liquid dumps
- water truck vacuum pumps
- H2S treating equipment
- valve sizing
A common reason for site issues is that modifications are made to equipment, valving and piping throughout the pad life, and these changes often impair the function of the original process design.
This service has been found to be invaluable to operations, environmental, and facilities personnel.
