- Large natural gas producer deploys the ZerO2 system to support growing production volumes, improve uptime and reduce flaring
- EcoVapor expands operational footprint into fifth major oil and gas basin
DENVER, CO (June 3, 2019) – EcoVapor Recovery Systems, LLC today announced that it has commissioned two new E300 model ZerO2™ units on a production pad located in the Marcellus Shale play in central West Virginia. The customer is a large, independent E&P with a leasehold in excess of 600,000 net acres in the heart of the play. Two E300 ZerO2 units were commissioned with a combined nameplate processing capacity of 600 MSCF/Day.
ZerO2 units use proprietary technology to enable operators to capture and sell high-Btu content tank vapor flash gas, lowering tank pressures in the process. As a result, the ZerO2 system significantly reduces, and often eliminates, the need to flare or combust gas. ZerO2 systems also improve site safety and ensure emissions compliance by actively managing tank pressures and eliminating harmful vapor emissions.
With no moving parts, ZerO2 units are typically the most reliable pieces of equipment on the well site. For the two and a half years ended April 2019, the ZerO2 fleet has accumulated and maintained an impressive track record of reliability, typically 100% uptime, and not one production site using the solution has experienced unexpected shut-ins as a result of high oxygen levels.
Mike McMahon, Chief Executive Officer, said, “This successful commissioning in the Marcellus Shale play expands the operational footprint of our ZerO2 fleet into a fifth oil and gas region, in addition to the Permian Basin, the Eagle Ford shale, Powder River Basin and DJ Basin. Our ZerO2 solution gives E&P operators a simple way to comply with increasingly stringent gas capture and emissions regulations without sacrificing economic returns. Importantly, I applaud the performance of our field team for another safe and efficient startup.”
