17 ZerO₂ E1200 deoxo Units Now in Operation for Leading Renewable Natural Gas Developer
EcoVapor is proud to announce the sale and deployment of four additional ZerO₂ deoxo units to a major Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project developer, bringing the total number of deployed units with this customer to 17. These new units will support a landfill gas-to-RNG project, enhancing biogas upgrading efficiency, and helping meet stringent gas quality standards.
The RNG project developer selected the ZerO2 E1200 model, capable of handling up to 1,000 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) or 1,440 MSCFD. These units were equipped with larger than standard heat exchangers for reduced power consumption and lower operating expenses.
This milestone reinforces EcoVapor’s growing role in the expanding RNG market and underscores the proven value of the ZerO₂ system in critical landfill-to-RNG applications and other biogas projects. The customer, a national leader in RNG development, has repeatedly turned to EcoVapor to support their projects with reliable, field-proven deoxygenation technology.
Optimizing RNG with ZerO₂
In landfill and other biogas-to-RNG applications, oxygen removal is a critical process step. RNG must meet tight pipeline specifications—typically <10 ppm O₂—before it can be injected into a sales pipeline or sold as a vehicle fuel. EcoVapor’s ZerO₂ system achieves this target efficiently, without the need for consumables or flaring valuable methane-rich gas.
Our reliable, patented technology is an environmentally safe deoxo solution for eliminating oxygen from biogas streams, including dairy and swine farms as well as Landfill Gas (LFG) operations.
Designed for high uptime and low operating cost, ZerO₂ uses a patented catalytic process to safely and effectively convert oxygen in the gas stream into water vapor, which is then easily removed through standard dehydration systems. The result is pipeline-quality RNG that maximizes methane recovery and project economics.
Supporting RNG Growth at Scale
The four new units are slated for immediate deployment at a large landfill gas upgrading facility, where they will operate in parallel with existing units already supplied by EcoVapor. The ability to scale modular ZerO₂ units has been a key factor in the customer’s decision to standardize across their national project portfolio.
“We’re excited to continue supporting one of the industry’s most forward-thinking RNG developers,” said Joe Hedges, Director of Sales at EcoVapor. “Their repeat business is a strong validation of ZerO₂’s performance and reliability in challenging field conditions.”
Leading with Experience
EcoVapor first introduced ZerO₂ to the RNG market in response to growing demand for robust deoxo solutions that can handle the variability and oxygen content commonly found in landfill and digester gas. Since then, the technology has been deployed across multiple RNG facilities nationwide, accumulating thousands of hours of runtime with outstanding reliability and results.
With hundreds of ZerO2 units now operating in the Oil and Gas, and Biogas sectors across the U.S., EcoVapor continues to play a vital role in helping RNG developers meet environmental goals while capturing the full economic value of their renewable gas.
