Enerplus, a large independent exploration & production company recognized the EcoVapor ZerO2™ solution for eliminating tank flaring as one of the key technologies it uses to reduce emissions at operated well sites located in the Bakken oil shale play of North Dakota.
In Enerplus ESG Report released on June 2023, the company wrote:
“…14 sites now have EcoVapor Zer02 units installed for tank vapor capture that can result in up to more than 20,000 MTe CO2 avoided per unit each year.”
-Enerplus ESG Report 2023, p.37
Additionally, Enerplus noted in an investor presentation that its operated 8-well Furbearers pad is the company’s lowest CO2e intensity pad to date at ~97% average daily gas capture (p.21 of Advantaged Basin Differentiated Bakken Platform). The Furbearers pad is equipped with ZerO2 technology.
This is the second time Enerplus has credited EcoVapor’s ZerO2 technology for helping the company achieve its environmental performance goals and meet North Dakota’s aggressive gas capture mandate.
Fossil fuels play an essential role in providing affordable and reliable energy for the U.S. and world economy. EcoVapor technology-based Pathways to Zero help oil and gas producers simultaneously eliminate routine tank flaring and venting to reduce emissions while generating a meaningful economic ROI by converting waste streams into revenue.
We are proud of our role in helping oil and gas producers like Enerplus and others significantly improve the environmental sustainability of our industry. We appreciate Enerplus mentioning EcoVapor by name, and look forward to helping the company achieve its environmental performance goals for producing affordable and reliable energy for all.
