DENVER, CO (November 20, 2019) – EcoVapor Recovery Systems LLC today announced that the South Texas Energy and Economic Roundtable (STEER) selected EcoVapor as a winner for Environmental Stewardship in their 2019 Eagle Ford Excellence Awards. The STEER Eagle Ford Excellence Awards honor leading companies and organizations working in or with the oil and gas industry for their diligent efforts in protecting the environment, making safety a top priority and giving back to the communities in which they live and work.
EcoVapor’s innovative ZerO2™ oxygen removal system was selected because of its positive impact on helping the oil and gas industry preserve the environment in a responsible manner. Third-party judges were used to evaluate the entries to ensure objectivity and technical scrutiny of the nominations.
The ZerO2 solution uses innovative and reliable technology to remove oxygen from the production stream, enabling operators to capture and sell high-Btu content tank vapor flash gas and natural gas liquids. EcoVapor’s ZerO2 solution helps oil and gas producers limit the need to flare or combust gas to only emergency situations. Reducing or eliminating flaring decreases NOx and VOC emissions, which lessens the environmental impact of oil and gas producing operations.
ZerO2 units have no moving parts, reducing repair and maintenance needs which minimizes the need to have people travel to and from well sites so equipped. For the three years ended October 2019, the ZerO2 fleet has accumulated an impressive track record of reliability 99.9% uptime, and not a single production site using the solution has experienced unexpected shut-ins as a result of high oxygen levels.
