We regularly say that recovered gas volumes increase sharply when all the low-pressure vapor at a site is captured using the ZerO2 solution.
Capturing and selling all the site vapor eliminates routine flaring, dramatically reduces emissions, and leads to increased revenue.
A DJ Basin operator had been recovering vapor directly from their tank battery, but was often unable to sell the gas because it did not meet pipeline specifications. They contacted EcoVapor for a solution and determined that the ZerO2 technology was an excellent fit.
They measured operating data at a two-well pad for two months before installing the ZerO2 equipment and for two months afterwards. The data confirmed that gas recovery increased 62% after commissioning the system, and CO2e emissions declined by a commensurate amount.
Similar improvement using EcoVapor solutions are seen in field results from operators that were using vapor recovery towers (VRT).
With VRT, production variability and gas liberated from sources other than the oil stream limits vapor recovery to around 60-70%.
Recovering and treating the remaining 30-40% from the tank battery using ZerO2 represents a major reduction in routine flaring and significant additional cash flow to the bottom line.
